CAPTAIN

Ekachai Pongpaew

 Captain Ekachai is a 31 year old Thai national with 10 years experience on Asian waters, from Indonesia to Sri Lanka. For the last three years he has led or been involved in charters in South East Asia. Within Phuket and Burma in particular, he has developed a detailed understanding of all aspects of these outstanding cruising grounds. He has an outgoing and friendly personality. Ekachai holds a Thai certificate of competence as a First Class Helmsman of Power Driven Sea Going Vessels, and a Special First Class Engine Operator ticket. In addition, he holds various safety and first aid certifications.  

FIRST MATE

Po

 Po is a 25 year old Thai national, with great qualifications and experience on charter yachts in South East Asia. He is knowledgeable, has a fantastic work ethic, and is always focused on ensuring all guests on Six Degrees have an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. ​

CHEF

Khun Hmem

Six Degree’s on-board dining is coordinated by Khun Mam, a talented Thai Chef who has delighted guests onboard Six Degrees (and its predecessor) for five seasons, and prior to that has gained many years of experience on a variety of yachts and dinner cruise boats operating from Thailand and neighboring countries.  She is proficient in both western and thai cuisine, and efficiently meets the most challenging requests from clients.
